Project Overview

Serene Skin is a next-generation skincare brand — categorised under Science & Biotechnology, which is the entire strategic frame. This isn't beauty marketing pretending at science; it's a science-led brand that had to communicate genuine formulation credibility to a consumer who has become deeply resistant to overclaimed beauty language. Haraay Design Studio, Pune, built the brand from the ground up: positioning, identity, complete packaging design across the product range, and 3D animation for digital and campaign use.

Our Approach

Haraay positioned Serene Skin as a science-led premium beauty brand where formulation integrity and calm confidence coexist. The design system draws on skin-inspired minimalism: botanical and biotechnology reference, a palette calibrated from natural skin tones and clinical-adjacent neutrals, and typography that reads as credible without becoming pharmaceutical. The 3D animation extends the same discipline into motionphotoreal product renders with controlled camera work that lets the packaging...

Outcome & Impact

Serene Skin launched with a complete brand ecosystem — identity, packaging, and motion assets — that achieved immediate credibility positioning in the Indian science-led skincare market. The restrained visual system resonated with design-literate, wellness-conscious consumers seeking skincare that feels as considered as it performs. The 3D animation assets gave the brand campaign and e-commerce visuals of a standard usually reserved for far larger biotechnology-adjacent beauty businesses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Positioning and strategy grounded in the science, brand identity, complete packaging design across the range, and the visual assets needed for retail and e-commerce launch. For science-led brands specifically, the design work has to communicate formulation credibility without falling into the overused visual language of 'clinical' or 'active ingredient' beauty.

3D product visualisation gives complete control over lighting, angle, and environment, and allows visuals to be produced before physical stock exists. For a next-generation skincare brand launching across multiple SKUs, it also means every product in the range can be visualised at identical quality and new variants can be added later without a reshoot.

By avoiding the shortcuts. The category has been trained by decades of pharmaceutical-mimicry beauty branding, and the visual codes of 'clinical' now read as generic. Serene Skin's identity draws on biotechnological credibility through restraint, precision, and calm confidence rather than laboratory props and pipette imagery.

Yes. Our Pune studio has in-house capability across brand identity, packaging design, and 3D animation which means the 3D assets are built by a team that already understands the packaging structure and brand intent, rather than being outsourced and interpreted second-hand.
