Project Overview

TVS is one of India's most established two-wheeler manufacturers. Haraay Design Studio, Pune, was engaged to produce a 3D automotive animation showcasing the vehicle's hub moto the engineering centrepiece of the powertrain. The brief demanded genuine technical accuracy: this was not a stylised brand film but a precision visualisation of a real mechanical assembly, required to communicate engineering sophistication to audiences who would immediately recognise any inaccuracy in how the component...

Our Approach

Haraay approached this as an engineering communication problem before an aesthetic one. Our 3D team worked from technical reference to model the hub motor assembly accurately, then designed a camera and reveal sequence that guides the viewer through the component's architecture — exterior form, sectional reveal, internal mechanism, motion. Lighting and materials were treated with the same precision as the geometry: photorealistic metal, accurate surface finish, and cinematic key lighting that makes complex mechanical detail legible rather than visually noisy.

Outcome & Impact

The TVS hub motor animation gave the manufacturer a precise, cinematic asset for communicating the engineering value of its powertrain capable of holding credibility with technical audiences while remaining genuinely compelling for general viewers. The film demonstrates what technical 3D visualisation is for: making engineering achievement visible and comprehensible to people who will never physically open the component.

Frequently Asked Questions

Automotive 3D visualisation communicates engineering, design, and product features that are impossible to show through photography — internal assemblies, cutaway views, mechanisms in motion, and components that may not yet exist physically. It is used across product launches, dealer training, investor communication, trade shows, and technical marketing.

When built from proper technical reference, 3D visualisation can be dimensionally and mechanically accurate to engineering specification. Haraay's process for technical automotive work begins with reference verification before any modelling starts because with an engineering audience, accuracy is the entire basis of credibility.

Yes. Haraay Design Studio, based in Pune — the centre of India's automotive engineering industry — produces technical 3D animation and product visualisation for automotive manufacturers, component suppliers, and industrial engineering companies across India.
